The Joyous SRD Parents Retreat The first weekend of February 2019 saw over 500 parents and children from different centres of Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch, Mumbai visit the Ashram for two fun-filled days of the much awaited SRD Parents Retreat. A host of activities were planned for the families at different venues in and around the Ashram. Be it making scarecrows at Shrimad Rajchandra Jivamaitridham or celebrating birthdays and sharing love with students at the Shrimad Rajchandra Gurukul, visiting the Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth or Shrimad Rajchandra Mahila Gruha Udyog, parents and children had a gala time. As parents enjoyed an enlivening Sadguru Udghosh and an insightful session with Atmarpit Shivaniji on how to paint their lives with radiant colours of joy and love, children were kept busy through a variety of value based games and a visit to the District Science Centre. Parents received a beautiful surprise as their kids presented them with special gratitude cards which they had made themselves. In the evening, amidst a serene and peaceful ambience a divine meditation session was conducted in the amphitheatre. This was followed by devotional Pakshal at the lotus feet of the Lord Param Krupalu Dev. Parents and children thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated every aspect of the retreat and the holy atmosphere of the Ashram. Creating beautiful memories, promoting strong bonds between families and giving parents a bird’s eye view of the Ashram and it’s various activities this 2-day fiesta was a wonderful experience for all present.
