Sarvarpit- Sharnarpit Shibir 2022

Hearts were filled with enthusiasm from the moment the announcement for the Sarvarpit-Sharnarpit Shibir was made, and around 700 members geared up for two days of connection with their beloved Master. Sarvarpits and Sharnarpits eagerly arrived at the sacred environs of the Ashram for their blissful tryst, aptly titled, ‘Aap ke Sharan Mein Sarv Arpit’.

On November 12, day one of the shibir, Param Krupalu Dev’s colossal presence in the Ashram’s Amphitheatre charged the pleasantly beautiful morning with piousness. The group energised through a yoga session with Pujya Gurudevshri. The fun-filled yoga practice invigorated them, preparing everybody for a dynamic day ahead.

The group arrived at the Yajnasthal for a session on Lateral Thinking by Atmarpit Siddhiji. Lateral thinking essentially involves taking a creative approach to a problem or challenge. Through games and activities, the exciting session helped members to think ingeniously and outside the box in order to address any challenge.

For Sharnarpits, the lunch with their Divine Master was undoubtedly one of the best experiences of the shibir. Intimate and heartfelt, members were satiated to their core being in His midst, singing and dancing for Him.

The afternoon session, ‘A Rendezvous with Letters from the Divine’, was one that will remain etched in the hearts of those who were privileged to witness it. Structured in a talk-show format, the session had Sharnarpit group leader Shekhar Shah relive his spiritual journey through the 100-odd letters written to him by Pujya Gurudevshri. Having met the Master for the first time in 1980 a deep devotion for Him captured Shekhar’s heart. The troughs of life brought challenging times, but Pujya Gurudevshri – through His handwritten letters to Shekhar – ensured that his heart always remained inclined towards the Lord. These letters guided him at every important step of life, inspiring him to utilise this precious human birth for pursuing and achieving a higher Goal. The awesome opportunity to behold the Master’s letters was indeed an amazing treat for the gathering.

In the evening the Sarvarpits and Sharnarpits converged at the Jinmandir for a divine arti. Members came together to express their devotion for Pujya Gurudevshri through cultural dedications at the Community Garden. Through skits and dances Sarvarpits and Sharnarpits offered gratitude for the Master’s ever-flowing compassion. Sharnarpit Malvi Parekh and Sarvarpit Sunit Kothari recounted how Pujya Gurudevshri’s limitless love and constant guidance had shaped their lives, leading them towards spirituality.

The cool and cheery Sunday morning of November 13 saw members recharging their bodies with a cardio workout along with Pujya Gurudevshri. After breakfast everybody eagerly congregated for the Master’s unparalleled Udghosh. Providing valuable tips on ‘Becoming the Best Version of Yourself’, Pujya Gurudevshri explained that feelings like happiness, love and gratitude are natural and normal while toxic thoughts and feelings like anger are not normal and must be corrected. While money, objects may give us external comfort, it is internal comfort – that is, happiness – that matters most. Satsang and awareness are the keys for developing this sense of internal comfort. He guided that one must evaluate any situation through the lens of an Enlightened One and focus on being good.

The Sarvarpit group lunch with Pujya Gurudevshri was absolutely unforgettable. The Master sweetly graced each and every table and blessed everyone with prasad. Members rejoiced with throbbing dances bringing the Sarvarpit-Sharnarpit Shibir to a grand finale.

Shaking their concepts,
Shaping their thoughts,
Sharpening their intellect,
Simplifying their lives,
Steering their journey,
Seizing their hearts,
the Sarvarpits and Sharnarpits will remain forever indebted and deeply in love with their revered Master.
