Pujya Gurudevshri Felicitated with Ahimsa International Award On November 6, the Raj Bhavan at Mumbai hosted a prestigious national convention which expressed appreciation towards saints and social organisations that have contributed significantly towards nation building. On this occasion, led by Pujya Acharya Dr Lokesh Muniji’s Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti, Pujya Gurudevshri was presented with the Ahimsa International Award from the hands of Hon. Governor of Maharashtra Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Hon. Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal. This award lauded Pujya Gurudevshri for pioneering consistent and extensive social work across all walks of life globally. His impact in fostering peace has been recognised by prestigious forums and has resulted in global affiliations with organisations. Representing Pujya Gurudevshri, the award was received by trustee of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur and His personal secretary, Atmarpit Nemiji. The occasion was also graced by the presence of other esteemed guests. Addressing the audience, Shri Piyush Goyal highlighted how saints and sages ignite the spark that enables one’s work to shine bright. He also shared his observations that the teachings of the Jain religion – which guide one to care for the society as one would for the self – are vital for a nation’s progress. Affirming that India is known for its sages, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari mentioned that saints have played a foundational role in building the country. He expressed confidence that India will keep progressing as long as the country remembers the tradition of the saints. This occasion thus was also a testimony that the blessings and guidance of spiritual leaders and saints go a long way in shaping empathetic and compassionate minds in the world today.
