Grand Inauguration of Shrimad Rajchandra Udyan, Mumbai

In commemoration of Shrimad Rajchandraji’s 150th year, the morning of Sunday 15th October 2017, witnessed the inauguration of Shrimad Rajchandra Udyan at the hands of Pujya Gurudevshri and Shri Raj Purohit (Chief Whip, BJP) in Mumbai. Developed and maintained by the Mission, the structure stands amidst the busy streets of Zaveri Bazaar and encompasses a beautiful mural of Shrimadji and Gandhiji within a garden. This place holds great importance in the hearts of Shrimadji’s devotees as they draw inspiration to remain detached and untouched amidst busy worldly activities.

This land is blessed to have observed Shrimad Rajchandraji’s exalted state and profound detachment, even when performing his worldly duties of business. It was here that Mahatma Gandhi came in close contact with Shrimadji and witnessed His spiritual pursuits in the professional life. Atmarpit Maulikji gave a brief introduction of Param Krupalu Dev Shrimad Rajchandraji’s hallowed life and His association with this place. Spending several years in this locality as a partner in the company of Shri Revashankar Jagjivandas, it was here that His detached but perfect state of being was most reflected.

In his meaningful speech Shri Raj Purohitji lauded Pujya Gurudevshri and the Mission for introducing to the world this great spiritual entity. He expressed elation at being associated with such devotees whose eyes twinkled at the mention of their Sadguru. President of the Mission Shri Abhaybhai Jasani gave a vote of thanks to all involved in the realisation of this epic structure. Pujya Gurudevshri was felicitated by Shri Raj Purohitji and several trustees of nearby Derasars.

The significant event concluded with Him presenting the dignitaries with mementoes and having pleasant interactions with them.
