Drama ‘Yugpurush’ Honours Indian Army with a Special Show in Mumbai

Paying homage to the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi’s 69th death anniversary and remembering those who sacrificed their lives for the country on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) hosted a special show of the theatre production, ‘Yugpurush – Mahatma ke Mahatma’, to honour the Indian Army at Army Auditorium, Navy Nagar. Over 400 army officers and their families attended the special show.

The army are courageous patriots and freedom fighters respected for the sheer commitment they demonstrate and are remembered for the legacy they leave behind of dedication, tenacity and integrity, securing the borders of our country. What better an occasion than 30th January to celebrate the spirit and passion of the armed forces and to revere the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi – the pacifist behind India’s Independence?

Inaugurated with the lamp lighting at the hands of senior officials of the army, the play garnered patriotic fervor and received an overwhelming response in the form of a standing ovation from the army officers and their fraternity! Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur effusively expressed gratitude by presenting the army personnels with mementos, thus concluding an elevating evening.
