Assisting Healthcare Workers

Assisting the Healthcare Professionals

Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care has been working for the welfare and comfort of those suffering due to the pandemic as well as those serving them. The healthcare professionals, who form the first line of defense, were provided with PPE kits, masks and sanitisers for their safety. When volunteers came across situations where the healthcare professionals were struggling to get timely, fresh food, an initiative was undertaken to provide them with Jain meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, packaged drinking water, health drinks, biscuits and snacks were also served. This initiative covered several major hospitals and large quarantine centres in Mumbai Metropolitan Region:

  • Sir J. J. Hospital
  • King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital
  • St. George Hospital
  • Gokuldas Tejpal (GT) Hospital
  • BYL Nair Hospital
  • Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital
  • ENT Hospital
  • Rajawadi Hospital
  • Kasturba Hospital for Infectious Diseases
  • Cooper Hospital
  • Seven Hills Hospital
  • BSES Hospital
  • Nagpada Police Hospital
  • MGM Hospital, Panvel
  • Tata Memorial Hospital
  • Saifee Hospital
  • Lilavati Hospital
  • Bhatia Hospital
  • NSCI Dome Quarantine Centre
  • NESCO Quarantine Centre

Over the course of last few months, more than 70,000 food packets and over 20,000 beverages have been served to the healthcare professionals.

Dr. Mohan Joshi – Dean, BYL Nair Hospital, sent a letter of appreciation, in which he shared, “We are thankful to Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care. Working in PPE is very difficult for our frontliners, and often causes dehydration. It is indeed thoughtful of you to have provided a basic need like packaged water to quench their thirst. Similarly, the ‘chaas’ provided a refreshing drink. The biscuits will be a convenient snack for everyone. We are so grateful for this kind donation, keeping in mind the current needs of the hospital.”
