Phenomenal Perfection

Enlightened Masters are abodes where all the divine virtues reside together. Pujya Gurudevshri is one such treasure chest of extraordinary qualities. Let us marvel at His remarkable virtues and get inspired to kindle them in ourselves

Perfection is broadly defined as a state of completeness and flawlessness. Thus, to do any task in a perfect manner means to do it to completion and in a flawless manner. The great Greek philosopher, Aristotle in his book Delta of the Metaphysics elaborates three shades of the meaning of the term ‘perfection’ saying, that is perfect :

1. Which is complete – which contains all the requisite parts;

2. Which is so good that nothing of the kind could be better;

3. Which has attained its purpose.

Looking at Pujya Gurudevshri’s life and acts in light of these definitions it becomes evident that He is indeed a perfectionist par excellence. Each task that He takes up, no matter if it is big or small, is with a purpose, is performed in a meticulous and faultless manner and is pursued till its completion. Thus, perfection is Pujya Gurudevshri’s way of life.

Many people believe that being religious or spiritual means that one can be imperfect in his worldly tasks. A religious person is assumed to be negligent or careless in his worldly duties. However, Pujya Gurudevshri negates this myth. He professes that perfection is a habit. One cannot be imperfect in his mundane tasks and yet achieve perfection in his spiritual goals. To achieve success in higher goals of life, one has to be perfect in the smallest of his acts. Pujya Gurudevshri, not only by His words, but also through His own life demonstrates this fact.

Pujya Gurudevshri exhibits pristine perfection in each aspect of His personal life. While His utmost zeal and passion are more than enough to keep Him cruising towards His ultimate goal, yet He meticulously maintains His diary of His daily spiritual practices. Perfection in sadhana is His commitment to His Lord Param Krupalu Dev, which cannot be missed at any cost.

Once He was writing His diary and missed writing a letter in the word ‘Pratishtha’, which He noticed when He was going through it later. He took a prayashchit for that miss out!!! Even though this diary was not going to be read by anyone, neither was the spelling going to affect anyone, His commitment to perfection is such that He would not accept even such a slight error.

‘Forgot’ word has been eliminated in Pujya Gurudevshri’s dictionary. Despite being involved in numerous projects and activities, Pujya Gurudevshri never has to say ‘I forgot’ for smallest of the tasks. He diligently makes a note of the tasks that He intends to do, with a pencil on the whiteboard of His desk or on a notepad, and having completed the task, He erases or strikes off the note. With such perfection in smallest of activities, He ensures that all His endeavours are accomplished in a flawless manner.

Being at the helm of a huge Mission and a spiritual guide as well as a role model for thousands of seekers worldwide, Pujya Gurudevshri conducts His public interactions with the same pristine perfection. Thousands of aspirants reach out to Him for guidance through personal meetings or via emails. With perfect planning, foresight, time management and scheduling He sees to it that optimum number of seekers benefit through His personal association. It is a matter of amazement and wonder as to how He manages the number of emails He receives each day! Yet, there is no delay in responding to them, which talks a lot about His perfection in action.

In one of the Sadguru Prerna meetings, Pujya Gurudevshri glanced for a few moments at a proposed design and immediately pointed out that with that design, a person sitting at a particular place will not be able to do darshan of Param Krupalu Dev. When the sevaks saw a software generated 360 degree view of the design they realised that it was indeed so! Such sharpness and minute perfection!

A perfectionist Himself, Pujya Gurudevshri is lovingly inculcating this virtue in the aspirants and sevaks too. By guiding them to use tools like checklists for tasks, not giving them more than one appointment for a particular task, implement strong adherence to deadlines in various seva projects, and various other innovative ways; He is inspiring them to reach the same state of perfection and thereby achieve most out of their precious human life.

Hats off to the Master Perfectionist, Pujya Gurudevshri!
